Festive Family Activities:
With a little creativity, you can combine fun and learning to make this festive period both magical and educational. Here are some simple, joyful ideas to try this holiday season!
- Holiday Story Night: Create a cozy reading corner and set aside time each day for reading holiday-themed books together. This will improve your child’s literacy and spark meaningful discussions.
- Christmas Treasure Hunt: Hide small treats or clues around the house to create a festive adventure. If weather permits, take the scavenger hunt outdoors.
- Write to Santa: Encourage creativity with a letter-writing activity.
- Cooking challenge: Pick a simple recipe, like cookies or pizza, and cook together. Let your child measure ingredients to practice math skills. It’s fun, educational, and rewarding (you get to eat the results!).
- DIY Christmas cards: Encourage your child to create personalised Christmas cards for family and friends. This activity will boost their creativity and fine motor skills.
