Tuition by British qualified primary school teachers

Having spent time teaching English internationally in my early twenties, I found my calling in a bustling, inner-city London school, where I had the privilege of teaching some incredible children for numerous years. I adored teaching, however, there was always a nagging feeling that something wasn’t quite right. The large class sizes meant some children weren’t receiving the support they needed to thrive. I knew I had to find a way to bridge this gap, to make a real difference in the lives of these young minds.

International education is at the heart of what we do

Throughout my career, I have taught in Colombia, Japan, Spain and Chile! International education has always been a part of my ethos and has given me a global outlook when it comes to education.
In 2019, seeking new adventures and an exciting teaching opportunity, I embarked on a journey to Japan. Everything seemed to be falling into place until an unforeseen storm (COVID-19), forced me to return home. It was a challenging time for everyone. Schools closed their doors, families struggled through homeschooling, and an alarming achievement gap opened in education.

Opening the Primary Tutor Project doors

Determined to make a positive impact, I turned to online tutoring to support families in their homeschooling endeavours. Word quickly spread, and before I knew it, my days were filled with exciting, online teaching. The ability to provide personalised education, tailored to each child’s unique needs, was an epiphany. I saw the incredible progress they made and witnessed their confidence soar. I knew then that I had to build something that would empower children far beyond the confines of a classroom.
And so, Primary Tutor Project was born.
Today, Primary Tutor Project is a thriving community of passionate and qualified teachers from the UK, each sharing my unwavering commitment to lifting children up through positive encouragement. We run a range of UK and international tuition services, from after school tuition clubs to one-to-one tuition. We have taught over 150 children in 15 countries around the world… and counting!

What does online learning look like?

We understand that online education is still pretty new, so you might be wondering what it entails! Online tuition has evolved a lot in the past few years, and now provides an engaging, flexible answer to education. It fits well around busy schedules, creates a comfortable learning environment as children are in their own home, and most importantly, enables children everywhere to be taught by the best teachers going (if we say so ourselves!).
