About this club

Is your child struggling to get their ideas onto the page?

Writers Club helps children aged 7–9 (Year 3–4 level) become more confident and creative writers in a small, supportive group led by a qualified teacher.

Through engaging activities and structured guidance, children develop strong writing skills, richer vocabulary, and the confidence to express their ideas clearly.

Many children join Writers Club feeling unsure about writing and quickly discover that they have plenty of ideas — they just need the right support to bring them to life.

✨ Expert small-group tuition from just £26.50 per week

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"VERY VERY GOOD. HELPS VERY MUCH." (From a very enthusiastic student!)

Who Writers Club is perfect for:

✅ Children aged 7–9 or working at Year 3–4 level

Writers Club works best for children who:

✔ Have ideas but sometimes struggle to organise them in writing
✔ Would benefit from step-by-step support when planning and drafting
✔ Enjoy creative activities and expressing their ideas
✔ Respond well to encouragement and structured guidance

If you're unsure whether the group is the right level, we’re always happy to help you decide.

Each session includes just 3–5 children, allowing the teacher to:

• Provide personalised feedback on each child’s writing
• Support children as they plan and develop ideas
• Encourage every child to share their work
• Create a calm and encouraging environment for creativity

Children often feel more comfortable experimenting with ideas and sharing their writing in a small group.

Our sessions include:
• Creative starters to spark ideas
• Guided writing activities
• Opportunities to share and discuss writing
• Support with editing and improving drafts

Children enjoy seeing their work grow from initial ideas to a polished piece of writing.

What a typical Writers Club lesson looks like:

Each 60-minute session is designed to guide children through the writing process step by step.

Creative starter
A short activity to spark imagination and generate ideas.

Planning the writing
Children explore vocabulary and structure before beginning their draft.

Writing time
Children draft their work in a shared Google Doc while receiving guidance and feedback.

Editing and sharing
Children improve their writing and celebrate their progress.

Every lesson focuses on helping children build confidence and enjoy the writing process.
