Hello, and thank you for your interest in my lessons! I'm Alisha.

I provide engaging, informative and detailed lessons within the primary subjects for children aged 5-12. I have 6 years of experience teaching in UK primary schools, having taught both KS1 and KS2 as a class teacher, and nursery- year 6 as an Art teacher. My expertise lies in early reading and writing (including phonics), Art and mathematics. You can expect high quality lessons with concepts broken down easily to ensure progress for your child.

My teaching style is interactive and supportive, focusing on building confidence as well as knowledge. I use a range of strategies to keep children motivated, including games, discussions, visual aids, and practical activities that make learning memorable. Lessons are carefully planned to match the child’s individual needs and learning pace, ensuring that they feel challenged but never overwhelmed.

In reading and writing, I place a strong emphasis on phonics, comprehension, and creative expression, helping children develop both accuracy and enjoyment in their literacy skills. In mathematics, I guide students step-by-step through problem-solving, encouraging them to think critically and apply their skills to real-life situations. For Art, I inspire creativity while also teaching key techniques, giving children the chance to express themselves in fun and imaginative ways.
