Hi, I’m Jess, a qualified primary school teacher with over 13 years of classroom experience. I have taught across all primary year groups, from EYFS to Year 6, and have worked in a wide range of educational settings. This includes mainstream schools, SEND support, alternative provision, online teaching, and tutoring children from international and independent schools.
My passion is helping children recognise their strengths and build the confidence they need to approach challenges with a positive mindset. I take a gentle, patient and nurturing approach, responding to each child’s needs and tailoring my teaching to suit their individual learning style.
I am a lifelong learner and enjoy continually developing my understanding of education and early childhood development. Over the past five years, I have completed a range of professional development courses, including reading for pleasure, coaching and mentoring, alternative approaches in education, and supporting children beyond the classroom, including EBSA and EOTAS pathways.
In my spare time, I enjoy getting out in nature, reading and listening to podcasts. I have recently set up a free community children’s podcast club, which has been so much fun! It has really helped the children who attend to grow so much in confidence and develop their communication skills.
